| After using other waffle irons this one is the best. It has enough power to make crisp belgian waffles with big deep holes. Wait for the ready light between waffles and don't forget to flip it. I use setting 6 for my waffles and use Alton Brown's (food network) 1/2 white and 1/2 whole wheat flower recipe instead of using a yeast raised batter. I've not had any problems and use it every week at least once. Leftover waffles (since there are only 2 of us)reheat great in the toaster oven and maintain their texture at about 300 degrees. Toasting does not heat all the way through if the waffles are frozen first. |
Best Waffles Ever

| I bought this waffle iron as a Christmas gift for my son Dan, who loves to cook, and had this item on his list. I have to admit that at first I didn't think it would be any better than the waffles I make with my much cheaper Toastmaster waffle maker that I've had for 10 years. On Christmas morning, Dan made waffles using the basic recipe for waffles that came with the instruction book. The smell in my kitchen was unbelievably good, and the waffles came out perfectly baked, and much faster than my old waffle iron. They were so much better tasting that I think I'm going to buy one of these for myself, and retire the old toastmaster. I can hardly wait to have some of these waffles with strawberries and whipped cream on top. If you love waffles, this waffler is worth every penny! |
Love it!

| My husband loves it when we go to hotels and get to have belgian waffles. I saw this product in an email I recieved from another company and thought I had to get it for my husband for christmas. I looked around on the net and found it for the best price on amazon (half the price of the other company I received the email from). We have used the waffle iron 3 times now and just love it. I do think it helps to have a really good waffle recipe. We haven't tied it with a store mix yet. |
This Product is OUTSTANDING!!

| I give this product a thumbs WAY up. It is built to stand up to anything with the steel. It makes the perfect waffle without having to think about how long to put them on for. It takes the quess work out and does the thinking for you. I love it. It is worth the money! |

| This Belgian waffle maker is just like what the pros use without the expensive price. I was going to buy the KitchenAid Belgian waffle maker but I saved myself over two hundred bucks. I can make a lot of waffles for that price! |
Excellent Product

The waffles do not stick to the top or bottom when finished backing. The unit is just a super waffle maker. The waffles are Cristy and delicious. The timer not only has a green light but an audible signal to tell when to flip and take out the finished waffle.
A great product! |
This thing rocks!

This waffle maker is awesome. It made perfect, wonderful waffles right from the start.
The mechanical aspect of the maker seems a little frail. I wouldn't be surprised if it broke eventually. I am just taking extra precautions to treat is nicely.
I love this waffle maker and the waffles it makes! |

| Quality and ease of use is outstanding. We have been very satisfied with this product. We would buy it again. We have not had any problems whatsoever. The design is very appealing. The power cord tucks away nicely under the unit which makes it very easy to move around and store. |
Awesome

| We were able to use our waffle maker twice and it produced some of the most amazing waffles ever. On our third time using this product, The waffle maker simply would not heat up at all. There is another review with this same problem and Amazon sent them a replacement waffle maker. I am in the process of requestion that Amazon do the same for me. Will report back on the results of this request. |
villaware v400 failure problem

| Well, I knew I wasn't alone. I was on my third replacement from VillaWare for this Waffler when it failed yet again in the same mode as before. All of a sudden it will not heat up. Obviously there is a manufacturing problem since the machine continues to fail in the same mode and from the other reviews ---it aint just me. I believe those who have not yet experienced this failure have simply not used it enough. Really, how many times does the average joe break out the waffler. Suprisingly, VillaWare is still selling this item when they must know it has this problem. VillWare has at least offered me any one of their products at a $90.00 value to compensate since I obviously don't want to replace this machine for a 4th time. PRoblem is, I don't like/want any of their other products. I strongly recomend avoiding this product until VillaWare addresses this problem. And yes, it does make exellent waffles when it works. |

| I bought this belgiam waffle maker 30 days ago. It worked fine for 30 days and then the iron stopped heating up. I contacted Villaware and they suggested getting Amazon.com to replace the unit which they did. Time will tell on the replacement. |
got 2--neither one works!

| We ordered 2 of these wafflemakers. One for a present for my daughter in college. It never worked from day one. The second one worked for 2 months then quit heating up. Calls to villaware company resulted in them telling us to "ship them back". Shipping costs would have been above $30.00..Then what if new ones don't work...do I pay to ship those back too? Don't waste your money on these.Yes, when they work they make great waffles, but only WHEN they work.... |
PIECE OF TRASH !!!

| For about 4-months, we were able to use our waffle maker on a weekly basis and it produced some of the most amazing waffles ever. However, suddenly the waffle maker simply would not heat up at all. I contacted VillaWare (the maker) and reported the problem. They replaced it with another one. However, the replacement failed soon after I started using it as well. It would not heat up either. Once again, I contacted VillaWare. They told me to take a hike because it had been more than 1-year since the date of my "original purchase". They felt that it was irrelevant that the replacement unit was in my possesion for less than 6-months. I will NEVER purchase another VillaWare product again. I am not surprised that the price of this product has dropped considerably. It is a piece of TRASH !!! |

I bought the VillaWare V3400 as I love waffles - both the regular and Belgian waffles which are thicker. I wanted to try making some myself instead of keeping buying the Eggos which taste great but they get expensive. I have tried several recipes over the past couple of week - with and without yeast - and some ended up tasting better than others. After making about 20 waffles, this waffle maker would simply stop releasing the waffles. I tried to add oil in the batter and tried to vary the amount of oil and it would simply not release the waffle until I went into each of the crevices and pry out the waffle one crevice at a time. I brushed both plates thoroughly but it didn't help. I will try the Waring Pro (also $80 on Amazon) as people seem to have success with it. |
